Velcro curlers are a quick and easy way to add body and softness to fine, medium length hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Start with dry hair. Start at the crown with the largest roller. Comb a out a piece of hair no wider than the width of the roller. Pull the roller through the hair from the head to the top, to smooth the hair. Make sure you pull the hair up and toward the front of your head to give the hair some volume. Roll the hair tightly around the roller as if you were using a curling iron to roll your hair under. Roll it tightly so it will stay where you put it.

  2. Step 2

Use a slightly smaller roller under the last one and pull again up and toward the front. Use another two on each side of the first rollers so that the back and sides get the most volume. You only need to roll the top and sides. Leave the bottom layers out and blow dry straight. You may need only 4-6 rollers.

  3. Step 3

Blow dry rollers on a hot setting to warm up the hair and set it. Go about your other business to allow the hair to cool on its own, or use a cold shot on a blow dryer to cool it if you are in a hurry.

  4. Step 4

Take the rollers out by unrolling rather than pulling, once the hair is cool. Style with your fingers rather than a brush or you will pull the body out. Try a bit of hairspray when finishing it off.
