This season give back to your community ,there are thousands of people who are in need this year and organizations are unable to keep up with the high turn out rate.

  1. Step 1

    1.If you are still lucky enough to be working this year, you might be attending quite a few holiday parties and more than likely there will be an ubundance of food,in fact so much that there will probably be left-overs.So instead of throwing away all of it pack it up and take it all to a nearby homeless shelter or church,your actions will be much appreciative.

  2. Step 2

    (DREAMER)visit the and help make a childs wish come true (www.wish.org)or 1-800-722-WISH

    (VOLUNTEER MATCH)www.volunteermatch.org;on this site you can post your resume and have a number of volunteer organizations be sent to you.

  3. Step 3

    (PARTY GIRL)This is so you can help plan fundraisers for charity.
    (FOR ALL THE ANIMAL LOVERS)Adopt a pet or foster stray animals www.deltasociety.org/www.aspca.org

    (WORDSMITH)with this you can help high school students with their admission essays (contact your local high school)

    (CANCER)Join the fight of breast cancer and get involved this season (www.cancer.org)

Tips & Warnings
  • You'll feel great about your good deeds and others will benefit.
  • Take all your unwanted gifts to goodwill along with all your clothing you can no longer fit(if you take them early enough you'll be able to write them off on your taxes)

on 1/15/2009 Good article. In my state, food pantries other facilities that serve cooked food must have Health Dept. approval to repackage and freeze or serve hot meals. We can not accept cooked food unless it is prepared in a Health Dept approved kitchen, such as restaurant and hospitals. Excess canned goods, and dry goods in factory packaging, can be donated. Check with the organization first before you take cooked food.
