How to Apply Lipstick

Lipstick is the perfect way to add a little color to your face, and it looks great too! Here are the steps to apply your lipstick properly.

• lipstick
• lip brush(optional)
• lip liner(optional)
• mirror

1. You should start by finding a lipstick that you love! Try to make sure that it also compliments your skin color. Try finding a darker shade of your natural lip color.

2. If your lips are dry, you can apply a little lip balm before applying your lipstick. This will help to soften them up.

3. If you are going to be using a a lip liner, you can apply that first if you want. Some people do it before, some people do it after. Depends on preference. With a color that matches your lipstick very lightly outline your lips.

4. Next you can apply your lipstick. You can either apply it directly from the tube or use a lip brush. Apply it evenly within your lip line, and then blot with a tissue to remove any excess. You can dab a little powder on and apply a second coat if you want.

Tips & Warnings

• Never use a dark lip liner with a light colored lipstick.
• Stick your index finger in your mouth, apply suction, and pull it out to remove any excess lipstick from your mouth and teeth.
• Do not use test lipsticks on your lips. It's not hygienic. Instead of applying it to the back of your hand, apply it to your fingertips. They are a closer color match to your lips.
