Follow this guide to get the most out of your creatine supplements when weight training.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

In order to use creatine effectively, it should be taken directly before a lift and immediately after. You can choose any creatine supplement you want, but a good combination is GNC's no-xplode before a lift and cellmass after. No-xplode dilates your blood vessels and improves blood flow to the muscles which makes them look bigger in the short run, and get bigger by holding more blood in the long run.

  2. Step 2

Make sure that you drink the equivalent of a full glass of water during your workout. Getting dehydrated while using creatine supplements could lead to kidney stones, which hurt like hell. If you use no-xplode, you should notice a little more energy when working out, and your lifts should feel a little more explosive. Remember not to overtrain when using xplode though, it can make you a little overconfident.

  3. Step 3

Following your workout, drink your creatine supplement mixed with water. If you use CellMass, the extra sugar in the mix will help it be absorbed faster into your system. If you choose a similar supplement, make sure that there is a bit of suger in order to cause an insulin spike. After the spike, creatine flows into your muscles and helps them repair faster.
