Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • razor knife or sharp blade
  • shipping tape
  • cardboard boxes
  1. Step 1

Don't you just hate having to buy new boxes because the used ones you have are all marked up with labels, bar codes, and other junk you have to sharpie out or otherwise hide? Sometimes the post office will not even allow a package if it's too messy, or is printed.

  2. Step 2

open up box so it lays flat. Cut along the longest 90 degree edge. Try to cut exactly at the 90 degree "V". This will make the taping much easier. For long distance shipping, the heavier the gauge cardboard the better.

  3. Step 3

turn box inside out and tape the cut edge and one end. (use the open end to insert your stuff. Done! A clean writing or labeling surface is now available. Be sure to double tape everything, especially the long edge. I like to use clear box sealing tape, no wimpy scotch tape. Write out a shipping label, and slap it on!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be VERY careful with blades.
  • Double tape everything
  • Be Very careful with blades. WHEN CUTTING CARDBOARD, IT HAS A CURIOUS TENDECY TO OFFER RESISTANCE, THEN SUDDENLY NOT, CAUSING THE BLADE TO SUDDENLY SPEED UP AND POSSIBY CUT YOU!
