Things You'll Need:
- Smarts
-
Step 1
I drank for 28 years and ive been sober 4 years now. Thank God! If you have any questions about drinking? Feel free to message me anytime. I care because I don't want for you what I know can happen. Lots to lose.
-
Step 2
First you need to define the word "decide" Here are some definitions of the word Decide: To settle conclusively all contention or uncertainty about. To make up one's mind about. To influence or determine the outcome of. To cause to make or reach a decision. To pronounce a judgment. To make up one's mind. Now If you really get the meaning of "decide" we are close.
-
Step 3
You must love yourself and your body more then the booze.
-
Step 4
Forgive yourself and forgive all the people in your past so you may move forward with no garbage to hold you down. Its tough but you can do it.
-
Step 5
Know that drinking will only lead to death if you continue. Thats what I believe anyway.
-
Step 6
Decide everyday that you are NOT going to put a bottle to your lips. Here is a good prayer: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
