This is a cheap, easy way for the kids to have more fun in the snow. Great for snowmen to!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

First get a spray bottle for each color you would like to make. Ones with different sprayer settings can make the snow painting endless. Spray bottles can be purchased at most stores really cheap.

  2. Step 2

Fill the water bottle almost full with regular tap water. Make sure water is cold, warm water will melt the snow. Keep in refrigerator if not using right away, and between uses, so the water stays cold enough.

  3. Step 3

Add a few drops of food coloring to each bottle to make your colors. The more drops of food coloring, the darker the "paint". Remember with the four basic food coloring colors, you can make many different colors. Most food coloring packages have how to make different colors on them.

  4. Step 4

Put sprayer top back on tightly and shake a little bit to fully mix water and food coloring. Send the "paint" and kids outside to color your snow!

Tips & Warnings
  • These can last a few days if you make sure you shake bottle after they haven't been used for awhile.
  • Use a black permanent marker to label each bottles color.
  • Make sure kids know not to spray anything other than snow.
