How to Create a Vector Christmas Present With Illustrator

Creating a vector Christmas present in Illustrator is very useful during the holiday season. You can create them for tags, homemade Christmas cards, accents for photos, and countless other reasons. With minimal knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, you can create your own vector presents with whatever color and size you'd like. Instructions

1. 

   Using your shape tool, create a square with whatever color you'd like to represent wrapping paper. You can also make a rectangle if you prefer.

2. 

   Draw a rectangle in the middle of the square with whatever color you'd like to represent your ribbon.

3. 

   Changing the shape to the star, Draw 3 stars, all in different directions for the bow. You may need to rotate the stars around to create an ideal bow shape. The example illustration has the outline around it so that you can see the placement of the 3 stars.

4. 

   If you created your bow with outlines, turn them off so that the three stars look like one bow shape. You are done! Enjoy!

5. 

   It's a good idea to play around with your graphic style library. You can use this to change the look of your present completely. In the example image, a gold foil graphic style is used. Have fun!
