The best prevention for soap scum buildup is to wipe down your tub every time someone bathes. Unfortunately, sometimes it gets away from you and then suddenly, you have this awful hard-to-remove soap scum on your bathtub. Here’s an easy way to remove it. Follow a few simple steps and you will be surprised at how easy it is to remove soap scum from your bathtub.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • spray bottle
  • roll of paper towels
  • Spic and Span cleaning solution
  1. Step 1

First, pour Spic and Span into a spray bottle.

  2. Step 2

Take a paper towel and hold it against the scummy area on the tub. While holding the towel with one hand, spray it with the Spic and Span cleaning solution. The wet towel will adhere to the tub.

  3. Step 3

Continue to cover all scummy areas with paper towels, saturated with the Spic and Span solution. The wet towels will cling to all areas of the bathtub, including the sides. The paper towels prevent the solution from running down the drain.

  4. Step 4

After about 5 to 10 minutes, or longer, depending on the thickness of the soap scum, wipe down the tub with the wet towels. Rinse and you will have a sparkling, shiny, clean bathtub.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have trouble bending over, try using a soft brush with a long handle to wipe down the bathtub with the paper towels.
  • Label the spray bottle with its contents and keep away from children.
