Things You'll Need:

- 1-2 nightgowns for you
- Comfortable underclothing
- Camera
- Camcorder
- Cell phone
- Snacks
-
Step 1
BABY TAKE-HOME OUTFIT
You are going to need something to take baby home in. Onsies, socks, an outfit or two, diapers, wipes to name a few. -
Step 2
NIGHTGOWNS AND COMFORTABLE UNDER-CLOTHING
You will need one or two nightgowns and some comfortable underclothing to wear while you are in the hospital. Otherwise, you will have to wear that wonderful and drafty hospital gown. -
Step 3
TOILETRIES Brush or comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, make-up, travel size shampoo and soap, hairspray to name just a few.
-
Step 4
CAMERA, CELL PHONE, AND CAMCORDER Make sure that you have a camera with extra batteries, chargers, and a disposable camera in case your camera goes out.
-
Step 5
SNACKS FOR YOU AND THE DADDY Depending on the hospital, some hospitals have a kitchen for Daddies to be and other do not. This was very helpful for my husband who was there the whole time with me.

on 1/25/2009 Great idea! It does get boring sometimes. A deck of cards would be a good way to pass the time.

on 1/25/2009 Glad you remembered the dad! I would possibly add bringing a deck of cards or movies (some places have DVD and/or VHS players).

on 1/15/2009 Good info. I learned later to purchase a preemie outfit for the baby to go home in since a 0-3 month will be too large for an average baby.
