They will call you a terrorist. They will call you a madman (or woman). They will say it can't be done, but you know better. Now, I'm not talking about taking over a few dinky little countries or murdering a few pathetic world leaders. I'm talking about dominating the whole earth by building a robot army the likes of which the galaxy has never seen before.

Consider using human foot soldiers in tough armor dressed as robots, instead of an actual robot army. Artificial intelligence is tricky to engineer. In general, fanatically devoted minions make better soldiers.

Design several different types of robots. The bulk of your army should be based on rolling robot foot soldiers on tank treads and elite flying robots capable of reigning down catastrophic fire on the enemy. You should also have robotized artillery and perhaps a few robot motherships that can launch fighters. Also, design a few walking robots. They aren't very practical or easy to construct, but boy do they look cool.

Arm your robots with sophisticated weapons and decent armor. Let's be realistic--only your most powerful giant killer robots will be able to withstand nuclear attacks and things of that sort. Your rank and file robotroopers only need to be tough enough to deflect RPGs and small weapons fire. They do, however, need to have good weapons. Although every robot army commander dreams of green lasers and particle beams, your budget probably will not allow it. Be realistic. Arm your robots with cannon, rockets, assault rifles, and guided super-intelligent human-seeking missiles.

Create a sophisticated robotic hive-mind. Every robot should be connected to every other one in one collective intelligence. That way, the robots can all work as a team. No single robot needs to be all that bright, since the robotic intelligence will work as a collective unit.

Create a robotic control helmet. Issuing orders to robots by computer is almost impossible, since robots are much more efficient with computers than you are. The best way to control your robot army is with a helmet that converts your very thoughts into robotic commands.
