Lay out your old shirt in front of you and, using your scissors, begin cutting along each and every seam until you have two separate pieces of fabric.
-
2
Using your ruler, draw a straight horizontal line 1 1/2 - 2 feet long on one of your fabric pieces starting at the top of the shirt and ending at the bottom.
-
-
3
From the right corner of this line, draw a vertical line about 2 - 2 1/2 inches.
-
4
Repeat step 2, except this time, draw this line coming from the bottom of the vertical line. It should be parallel with the first horizontal line drawn.
-
5
Connect the first and third line to form a skinny rectangle.
-
6
Cut out the rectangle. This will be your headband.
-
7
Add glitter, rhinestones, fabric glue, or whatever you desire to decorate your headband.
-
8
Hang the headband to dry before wearing.
-
9
Wrap the band around your head, right above your forehead, and flip your head upside down and tie the headband at the nape of your neck in order to wear your headband.
