Things You'll Need:
- Wax strips (hot or cold)
- Clippers (if hair is too long)
-
Step 1
Make sure your hair is between 2-5 mm long for a good grip. If the hair is too long, you will not have good results. If you need to trim the hair, use hair clippers to shorten hair enough to wax. If hair is too short, the wax will not grip. Again, the ideal length is 2-5 mm.
-
Step 2
Make sure your stomach is clean and free of any oils and dirt. You want only the hair to be pulled off with the wax.
-
Step 3
You want to gently rub the strip in between your hands to heat the strip. This will slightly warm the wax. Apply the wax strip with pressure and rub the strip firmly over the hair growth-in the same direction the hair is growing.
-
Step 4
Hold your skin taut and pull the wax strip back as quickly and as close to your skin as possible in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Pull this fast-the faster the pull, the less pain you will feel. Pulling the strip slowly will be painful.
-
Step 5
Remove any leftover wax by rubbing a cotton ball with baby oil over it. If you feel a little pain, you can apply ice to the area until the pain goes away.
