Step 1
One of the most important things is to keep your bowling ball at a consistent temperature. Extremes in temperature can crack or warp your ball. Do not store it in your car.

Use an ABC/WIBC approved cleaner. Clean your bowling ball every time you use it. You can go to Bowl.com and check out the link to ABC rules. This will give you a listing of what is approved or not approved or banned in chemicals.

Step 3
Your bowling ball needs to be polished as well. You can go to the same site as mentioned above to find approved products.

Step 4
Bowling balls need to be resurfaced. Many manufacturers recommend that it be done every sixty to ninety game. This needs to be done by a professional as they have the proper equipment.
