Earning the title of Person of the Year is something that takes popularity and a great deal of time. Being the Person of the Year means that you are someone who was influential during that specific year. Whether it was doing a good deed, becomnig a public phenomenon, or have done done something horrible, Person of the Year is awarded to someone who was the center of the media's attention throughout a majority of the year.

Partaking in an event
A year's worth of time

Step 1

Do something that will be influential or controversial. This could be anything from attempting world peace to becoming a president to creating the next technology.
Step 2

Get attention from the media by doing interviews on television, newspapers, radio, internet, etc. The more exposure, the better chances you will have of attaining the title.
Step 3

Invest every day, every hour to whatever your are doing. For example, if you are trying to end world hunger, then make your cause exposed every day.
Step 4

Spread your image throughout the world, and do not keep your focus on a single, general are of focus. The wider your spectrum the more people will learn about yourself.
Step 5

Get selected as a finalist for the title, and ultimately win the title as Person of the Year.

Tips & Warnings

It is better to have a positive image, rather than a nagative, although sometimes people who have done bad things are typically exposed more.
Be ready to have your life dedicated to whatever is going to help get you as Person of the Year. This will test your relationships of friends, family, and overal public image.
