Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pen or pencil
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Start by drawing a square or rectangle shape.

  2. Step 2

Create a ribbon on the side of the box by drawing 2 parallel lines in the middle. The ribbon can be wide or narrow, depending on what you'd like. Color your ribbon.

  3. Step 3

To create the ribbon at the top, draw multiple triangles with one center. You may draw as many as you'd like, and think of it as a fan shape. Now color the box and the rest of your ribbon. That's it!

  4. Step 4

Have fun drawing Christmas presents. Some other options for bows are shown in the example image. One is a loop bow, which is done by drawing the loop shape in the same way as the above bow. The second is 2 of those triangle shapes and 2 tails for the bow's ends.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may use the same basic principle to draw other shaped presents (circle or triangle, etc.) You may use the same basic principle with cutout paper to create a collage.
