Things You'll Need:
- Glitter
- Glue
- Snowflake pattern
- Scissors
- Newspaper for the mess
-
Step 1
Well since I am paper snowflake challenged I actually had to go to the internet and look up patterns for snowflakes to get me started. So if you are like me search the net for a site you can work with. I've listed one below.
-
Step 2
Print out the pattern you've picked out from the site or take a plain piece of paper.
-
Step 3
Fold your paper in half the long side. Then fold it in half the short side. Make a triangle shaped fold in your paper, and keep folding it over. It will take 3 or 4 folds.
-
Step 4
Now if you are snowflake challenged like I am start with the pattern you printed from the internet. Cut out the shaded parts they've given you. If you are not snowflake challenged draw an outline on your folded paper and cut it out.
-
Step 5
When you unfold it you will have a paper snowflake.
-
Step 6
Spread the glue on with a paint brush or your fingers.
-
Step 7
Sprinkle with glitter, shake it off. You may have to add a second coat or fill in spots that need it.
-
Step 8
Since this snowflake is shaped like a holly I did it in green glitter and then added 3 red glitter berries in the center.
-
Step 9
I am using these for decorating the house as well as gift bags so I've a couple different designs. Fold, Cut & glitter some snowflakes of your own.
