Things You'll Need:
- Windows Zip (WinZip). Link to free download provided below.

Step 1
Open WinZipGo to the start menu and open WinZip.

Welcome!Click "Next" on the "Welcome to the WinZip Wizard!" screen that pops up.

Create Zip FileSelect "Create a new Zip file" and hit "Next".

Name Zip FileType in a name for your Zip file in the "File name" field. Note in which folder your Zip file will be saved on your computer so that you know where to find it later! It will most likely be saved in the "My Documents" folder.

Add FilesClick on "Add Files..." and select the file(s) you want to add. You may add as many files as you like!

Step 6
Zip NowClick "Zip Now."

FinishClick "Finish".

Access FileTo access your Zip file, navigate to the folder where it was saved (refer to step 4).

on 12/18/2008 Good reminder how to zip files. I use this often when I'm sending out large attachments in email. It's easier to upload when the files are compressed.
