How to Make a Simple Wedding Bouquet
A simple wedding bouquet can be the perfect complement to your wedding attire. For an elegant bouquet you can make yourself, select the calla lily. Calla lilies contain strong stalks, giving the bouquet a firm base for your grasp, yet the delicate flower is timeless. Although you can choose the calla lily to match the wedding colors, a solid white calla lily bouquet with crystal or pearl accents will complement an ivory, cream or white wedding gown.

1
Buy a half-dozen white calla lilies. Pick the freshest ones with similar-sized heads and a strong stem. Place them in warm water until you are ready to make the bouquet.
-
2
Remove one flower from the container. Cut the stem under running water to seal in the moisture. Repeat the process for all flowers until the stems are the same length.

3
Place one calla lily in your hand. Arrange a flower to both sides. Surround these flowers with the other calla lilies, creating a small group.

4
Cut the ribbon to twice the length of the flower stems. Wrap the ribbon around the stems from beneath the flower toward the end of the bouquet. Stop before reaching the end and go back up. Tuck the end underneath the top of the ribbon.

5
Glue crystal or pearl chips to the ribbon. This adds sparkle to the bouquet. Place the bouquet into an empty vase until you are ready to walk down the aisle.

Tips & Warnings
Choose the length that best fits your dress. For a short cocktail wedding dress, cut the stalks smaller than for a wedding gown.
Ribbon can be in your wedding colors or white.
Besides crystals or pearls, other ornaments can be added to the ribbon.
