Instructions

    • 1

Look at the basic shapes for your teapot. The basic shapes are a large oval. a smaller circle on the side for the handle, an even smaller circle at the top and a small rectangle for the spout. Think of it in terms of these shapes, and it will be easy for you to draw.

    • 2

Start drawing the main shape, which is the large oval. This is more circular than a normal oval, and if you can, make the base a little wider than the top. Start to draw the line for the opening at the top. Now you can draw the little circle at the top. You'll have something that looks like a pumpkin.

    • 3

For the handle, draw a circle to the side of the pot. Draw another circle inside the circle. Now you have the handle. For the spout, draw a rectangular shape on the other side.

    • 4

Smooth out your teapot shape and add shade if desired. You are finished! You can use the same principles for other teapot shapes, since there are many different kinds.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add some designs to your teapot, like floral patterns or polka dots. Add a little detail of steam coming out of the spout.
