        Launch iTunes

        In an open Finder window, select the Apple sidebar and click on "Applications." Find "iTunes" and double-click the application to launch it.

        Click "Sharing" in iTunes

        Select the Apple menu in iTunes and drag to "Preferences" to open the iTunes preferences. In "Preferences," click on "Sharing."

        Shared iTunes options

        Click on the the "Share My Library on My Local Network" check box to enable iTunes sharing. You have the option to share your entire library or selected playlists in your iTunes library.

        To share your entire library, click the "Share Entire Library" radio button.

        To share selected playlists, click "Share Selected Playlists" and check off the check boxes of the libraries you want to share in the selection box below the "Share Selected Playlists" radio button. Your iTunes library will be shared over your local network.
