Personalized baby clothes are a huge fad. There are so many ways to do them. You can pay services to silk screen t-shirts and other baby cloths with the babies name or with specific designs or you can do it yourself. The following steps will tell you how to make homemade personalized baby clothes making use of your friends and family.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Prepare. Buy a bunch of blank baby cloths to personalize. Make sure you get several of each size. It can also be good to get various colors. Also get fabric paints, paint brushes, stencils and anything else you can think of which would be good for making personalized baby clothes.

  2. Step 2

Have all your family and friends come over. Site them all at a big table.

  3. Step 3

Hand out various sizes of clothing to everyone there and make sure that everyone has something to work with to decorate the clothes.

  4. Step 4

Ask everyone to do something different. Some ideas would be the babies name or cute sayings. You can also make personalized baby clothes that have pictures of things that represent the father and mothers’ interests.

  5. Step 5

Sign the cloths either on the inside or on the back with the name of the person who decorated it. This way you can remember everyone who came to help out and you will have learned something new about everyone by what they created.

  6. Step 6

Let the personalized baby clothes dry completely. If there are any special instructions for the supplies, make sure to follow them so that the clothes do not get ruined.

Tips & Warnings
  • As the baby becomes old enough to wear the personalized baby clothes, take a picture and send it to the person who made it.
  • This can be a great event to do at a baby shower too.
  • Dark colored fabrics are harder to paint on so they may not be desirable for making personalized baby clothes.
