Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Swimsuit
  • Beach Ball
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Time to Relax
  1. Step 1

Walk for the city of Naples and you will reach more than 10 miles of nature preserves and crystal beaches. Naples Beach, which has been named as the best beach in the country in 2005, lies directly on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

  2. Step 2

Relax on the Beach! What differentiates the Naples Beach from most other beaches is the lack of shops along the shore, making the beach even more peaceful and relaxing. The beach is generally lined by residences, accommodations and parks, with a few designated areas, such as Lowdermilk Park and the Naples Pier, containing amenities and restaurants.

  3. Step 3

Have a great place to stay. There are many options to choose from, from the upscale luxury hotels, like the Ritz Carlton and the Naples Grande Beach Resort and Club, to the more economical beachfront accommodations, such as the Naples Beach & Golf Club. If you plan to stay for a month or more, there are several condominiums near the beach that offer great prices for families looking for a Florida Vacation Rental.

  4. Step 4

Say Busy! Once you’re in Naples, you will never run out of things to do. Trolley tours can take you to a hundred areas of interest throughout the city, with narrated tours every day. For the nature lover, unsurpassed landscapes and natural wildlife can be seen in several land reserves, such as the Everglades National Park and the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Meanwhile, children always enjoy a visit to the Naples Zoo, located at the Caribbean Gardens.

Aside from beachcombers, golf enthusiasts also flock to Naples. The over 35 golf courses in the locality make it a favorite destination for avid golfers all over the world. Sailing to nearby islands, such as Marco Island, is also a popular tourist activity. Visitors can also choose from a number of other watersports, including snorkelling and fishing.

Naples also boasts of the finest shopping districts in Florida. Antique shops and high-end stores are scattered throughout the shopping areas of 3rd Street South and 5th Avenue South. These areas also come alive at night, with bars such as Zoe’s and Old Naples Pub frequented by young professionals.

  5. Step 5

Finally, make sure to be back on the Naples’ white sand beaches by late afternoon. Visit the fishing pier for some refreshments, and watch pelicans and the occasional dolphin pass by. Look out for the spectacular sunset to complete your day. The Naples beach experience is surely something you wouldn’t want to miss!

Tips & Warnings

  • check mutliple websites when choosing your accommodations
