Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Money
  • Gift Card
  • Calculator
  1. Step 1

Buying books for gifts this Christmas, is a great inexpensive way to save money. First, brainstorm and write down, how many people would you like to give a book as a gift this Christmas to?

  2. Step 2

Research and find out what types of books do they like. Even if you are aware of their interests, so that you have a secure answer.

  3. Step 3

Set a budget upon how much you are willing to spend on each person. Say for instance: you have a total of four people you are buying books for: You can write down(my budget limit for: Marsha, Steve, Clayton, and Susan is only $25.)

  4. Step 4

You have a choice to either visit your local bookstore or you can go online to certain book store companies such as: Booksamillion, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon, and EBay.

  5. Step 5

Start researching books by title or by subject. Look for books that will help you save. Remember to stick to the budget, when viewing the price of the book.

  6. Step 6

Once you have selected all your books, make sure that you have gotten the right book, with right interests. Use your calculator and total up the number of books you have, with the price.

  7. Step 7

If you are visiting your local bookstore, ask if they have any gift cards. If they do, find a gift card that was suitable to your budget. Sometimes they have: $10, $20, $30 and etc.

  8. Step 8

Decide on your method of payment. Whether you decide to use the gift card, you can always use cash or a credit/debit card.

  9. Step 9

You can wrap or place each book in a gift bag. That gift cars takes care of four people, your work is done.

on 12/24/2008 I like the idea of gift cards. I'd feel like a kid in a candy shop with one of those.
