Go to sites.google.com and sign in with your Google Accounts username and password, or register for a new account. Click "Create New Site," then click any template to apply one to a new site. Click "Browse the Gallery for More" to see more options, including business-, education- and family-themed templates. Name your site, and select functions from the toolbar at the top of each page to add and edit content such as text and images.

Go to Wordpress.com and click "Sign Up Now" to get a free account. Click "Dashboard" in the drop-down menu under "Blog" to access your new site. Click "Themes" under "Appearance" in the sidebar to see a gallery of themes, or templates, that you can apply. Click "Preview" to see how a theme looks, then "Activate" to apply. Once a theme is installed, customize it by clicking any option on the main "Themes" page. Click "Add New" under "Posts" or "Pages" in the sidebar to add blog posts or static pages, respectively.

Go to Webstarts.com and click "Sign Up Now - It's Free" to go to the template selection page. Click "Preview" to see the template in full and "Select" to apply it to your free site. Browse other template categories, such as Art, Entertainment and Religious, using the drop-down menu. Provide contact details when prompted, and choose a subdomain, such as "yourname.webstarts.com." You'll see a menu of pre-installed pages; click any element on the page to edit it, and select tools such as "Add Text," "Slideshow" and "Guestbook" to insert other features.
