Are you having a holiday party at your house this year and want your house to smell amazing? Christmasy and spicy?
This Christmas house fragrance is so easy to make, it is quick, and the fragrance will linger for a good day or two. You could also use this house fragrance recipe during open houses or home showing appointments. It creates a very festive mood.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 Orange Peel
  • 1/8 Large Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 Lemon Peel
  • 1/4 C. Whole Cloves
  • 1 1/2 Quart Water
  • Large Pot
  1. Step 1

Take a large pot or sauce pan and fill with water. Fill about 3/4 full. Water should be lukewarm.

  2. Step 2

Add all ingredients to water. Orange peel, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, lemon peel and whole cloves. Add more or less depending upon your individual preferences.

  3. Step 3

Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer continuously to make the house smell Christmasy. IDEA: This also will make a great holiday gift for friends and neighbors. Just add all the ingredients to a pretty package tie with a festive bow with instructions. Wala..

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use a crock pot instead of pot for continuous fragrance you don't have to check on during a party or get-together.
  • You could also place this in the oven on a low heat if stove top is being used.
  • Play around with different amounts of ingredients to suit your nose. Add more cinnamon or less clove.
  • You could try different baking extracts like mint or almond.
  • Watch water level.
  • Ensure heat source is turned off when finished.
