Things You'll Need:
- iPod Classic
-
Step 1
Make sure the iPod Classic isn't simply paused or locked. Check the screen for a lock symbol. If you see a lock, unlock the Hold switch. You should be back in business.
-
Step 2
Put the iPod on a flat surface to stabilize it. Slide the Hold switch on, then slide it off.
-
Step 3
Hold down Select and Menu together for several seconds with two fingers. Make sure your finger isn't touching the Click Wheel. When the Apple logo appears, release Select and Menu.
-
Step 4
If the iPod Classic doesn't reset, repeat the above step. If that still doesn't get your iPod Classic to restart, plug the iPod into a power adapter or a computer and see if it starts up.
