Step 4
Physical therapists treat people recovering from and coping with stroke, heart attack, arthritis, and sports injuries. You don't need to be severely injured to benefit from physical therapy. Physical therapists help people cope with both minor and major injuries and chronic and acute illnesses. If your injury or condition is not serious, you can find a physical therapist in an an outpatient rehabilitation clinic.

Step 5
physicaltherapycrossing.comIf you have a serious condition that requires inpatient therapeutic care, try to find a physical therapist at a rehabilitation hospital. Rehabilitation hospitals specialize in physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapy. You will find a high quality of care at a rehabilitation hospital, especially if the hospital has a positive reputation.
-
Step 6
Speaking from personal experience, finding a physical therapist is very easy. Following through with the treatment recommendations can be stressful and painful but you will be happy that you do. I volunteer as a rehabilitation aid at a rehabilitation hospital and I frequently see former patients return to thank their therapists for all their help and encouragement. Some of those former patients could barely walk on their own two feet and they return with confidence and strength.
