Personalized Christmas stockings are a great thing to make for your kids prior the Christmas. It will let them know that each one of them is special and that you care about them all individually. The following article will tell you how to make personalized Christmas stockings.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Put the names on the personalized Christmas stockings. This can be done with embroidery, or fabric paints or by sewing on a patch with the name. This really gives a sense of ownership to the stocking, especially when you are making personalized Christmas stockings for the kids.

  2. Step 2

Put something fun in the stocking. This should be something that they have either asked for or something that you know based on their personality that they would really enjoy finding in their personalized Christmas stockings.

  3. Step 3

Put something they need in the personalized Christmas stockings. Some examples are hair clips and rubber bands for the girls or new cologne for the boys.

  4. Step 4

Put something special in the stocking that really says something about who they are. A personal example, I always received guitar picks and new strings when I was growing up because I was a guitar player. Something special like this is essential to making it personal, even if it is assumed.

  5. Step 5

Fill the stocking from with nuts and candy. Do this last so that they trickle down among the other gifts. That way the kids have to mess with them the whole time they are taking everything out. It makes it more enjoyable for them and makes it take a bit longer.

  6. Step 6

If you have small kids, it can be fun to stick a stuffed toy out the top of the personalized Christmas stockings. This can be something they collect or just a favorite character or animal. It adds a bit of anticipation on Christmas morning when they see the stockings from across the room.
