If you have had a ring on your finger a long time and it just wont come off. Or your finger has swollen because of the changes in the weather. Here is a few examples of how to get it off.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply an oil based lubricant (such as dishwashing soap, hand lotion, or cooking oil) around the ring and all the way up the entire length of your finger. This should help ease the ring off quickly.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you twist the ring up and over your knuckle. Tugging will only make things worse by possibly causing swelling. Which is what we don't want.

  3. Step 3

When all else fails you can soak your hand in ice cold water if it is or becomes swollen. Wait at least 5-10 minutes for the swelling to go down. then try to twist the ring off again.

  4. Step 4

And of course if you can not safely remove the ring yourself you may have to consult with your doctor to have the ring removed. Sorry.
