Things You'll Need:
- Whole Milk
- Cocoa Powder
- Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- Coffee Mugs
- Spoons
- Whipped Cream
- Heating Dish
-
Step 1
Into each serving mug put the following ingredients: 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 2.5 tbsp sugar, dash of salt, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract.
-
Step 2
Pour 1 cup of whole milk for each serving of cocoa into a saucepan. Heat the milk over medium / high heat. Get the milk as hot as possible without boiling the milk.
-
Step 3
When the milk is hot enough, pour about 1/8 of a cup milk into each serving mug.
-
Step 4
After putting a little bit of milk into each mug, use a spoon to mix the ingredients and milk together. Stir at a medium pace so that the ingredients blend into a creamy texture. Don't stir too fast to avoid causing any frothing.
-
Step 5
Once the cocoa / milk mixture is smoothly combined in each mug begin adding small amounts of milk to each mug: about 1/4 cup at a time and stirring to mix the contents well. Mixing in this fashion helps to ensure proper infusion of the cocoa / sugar into the milk and helps to avoid ending up with all your cocoa / sugar stuck to the bottom of each mug.
-
Step 6
Once each mug has received 1 cup of milk and the contents are all mixed together well, use aerosol whipped cream to float a whipped cream swirl over each mug of hot chocolate.
-
Step 7
sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the whipped cream to add color and flavor.
-
Step 8
Your hot chocolate is now ready for serving. Enjoy!!!
