With the amount of condensation that can accumulate on your home's windowsill, it is sometimes difficult to prevent mold from growing. If you have mold growing, here are some quick and easy clean up suggestions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First you will want to use a little bleach and water to clean up the mold. I suggest adding two capfuls of bleach to a small bucket of water. The bleach will help prevent any further growth. You can also use any mildew remover bathroom cleaner. Wipe are where mold is growing.

  2. Step 2

Use a magic sponge, if needed, to clean up any residual stains which have resulted from the growth of mold. This will make the area look fresh and clean.

  3. Step 3

If necessary, re-paint, but make sure to get a mold resistant paint. Many stores like Lowes and Home depot have the painting products which deter mold growth and have products that kill any mold that has already started to grow.
