  • Spreading Knife
  • Gumdrops
  • Iron
  • Contact paper
  • Crayons

  1. Step 1

Gingerbread houses are wonderful to make with children. Simply buy a box of graham crackers, vanilla frosting, red and green lifesavers candies, and gumdrops. Help children spread the vanilla frosting on the edges of the graham crackers. Connect graham crackers while using the frosting as an adhesive. Allow children to decorate their gingerbread house with the candies. The frosting should be placed on the cracker first, then the candy.

  2. Step 2

Another good Christmas craft for children is stained glass Christmas tree ornaments. Give children a sheet of contact paper and let them draw something on it. I recommend stars, angels, trees etc. Help them cut it out. Break up crayons in small pieces. Let children sprinkle it on their contact paper. Put another piece of contact paper on top of the crayons. Use the low setting on the iron and iron the ornament for about ten seconds. Let it cool. Then cut around the ornament so it looks the same on both sides. Put a piece of string on the ornament and hang it on your Christmas tree.

  3. Step 3

Children will love to make peppermint sticks. All they need for this easy Christmas crafts is a toilet paper roll and red and white paint. Let them paint red and white stripes on the toilet paper roll. Let the peppermint sticks dry for an hour or two. Once they are dry they can either be placed on a Christmas tree or around your home.
