Things You'll Need:
- Crochet Hook
- Scissors
-
Step 1
In the image example, I used 12 inch strands of yarn. Cut a 12 inch strand to measure the rest of the strands.
-
Step 2
Take your measuring strand and the end of your yarn. Measure the two next to each other. Once you have gotten down to the end of you measuring strand, flip the yarn around back down to the other end. This will save time and you can cut the strands all at once when you have enough strands.
-
Step 3
Once you have several strands, you can cut them at the ends. You will be able to even them up later after you have added the fringe to your piece
-
Step 4
Decide how many strands that you want each segment of fringe to have.
-
Step 5
Separate the strands evenly.
-
Step 6
Fold the fringe segment in half.
-
Step 7
Insert your crochet hook through the foundation of your work, where you will be attaching the fringe.
-
Step 8
Put the folded end of your fringe over your crochet hook.
-
Step 9
Pull the yarn through your foundation.
-
Step 10
Wrap the fringe over your crochet hook.
-
Step 11
Pull it through.
-
Step 12
You have completed your fringe.
-
Step 13
Once you have all your fringe segments added, you will want to lay your piece on a flat surface. Even out all of your fringe. Cut the ends of the fringe so they are all the same length.
