Instructions

    • 1

Go to http://www.hulu.com/ (link in resources below), and click the "Sign Up" button in the top-right corner to register. If you don't feel like registering, you're in luck--you don't have to. Registering does, however, give you some additional control over your TV and movie watching, as well as access to "mature" content.

The lower half of Hulu contains popular or featured episodes, clips, and videos, while at the top-left of the navigation bar is the "Channels" button. Hover over it, and a box with common genres of TV shows and movies pops up.

    • 3

Click on a genre, and you're taken to a large listing of TV shows and movies in a seemingly random order. This is perfect if you're hardcore browsing, but if you're kind of taking it easy today, look to just above the top-left episode to find a "Video," and then a "Shows" tab. Click on it to organize by show.

    • 4

Underneath each show it says whether episodes, clips, or both are available, where a display of the word "episodes" means at least one full episode (or the movie) is available, and a display of the word "clips" means at least one clip is available. To navigate to another page, look to the show in the top-right corner. Click on one of the numbers above the show to navigate to that page. Once you've found the show you want to watch, click on it to open a list of episodes.

    • 5

Navigate to the episode you want to watch, and click on it to start watching.

    • 6

For a more direct approach to the exact TV show or movie you want, go to the main page of Hulu. Look to the top-left corner for the "TV" and "Movies" buttons, and click either one of them. In the navigation bar below, near the far right is the "Browse" button. Click on this, and you're taken to an alphabetical listing of shows or movies. Use the filters on the left side of the screen to narrow the listings until you find the free TV show or movie that you want to watch.
