Water skiing is one of the most exciting sports and half the fun is learning how to get up! Once you learn how to ski on two skis, you can learn how to ski on one and that's even more fun.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a motor boat (if you don't own one, google rentals in your area)
  • someone to drive the boat
  • skis (two for the beginners)
  • life jacket
  • ski rope
  • bathing suit/wet suit
  • towel and sunscreen
  1. Step 1

    Take the boat out into the water, have the driver place the boat in neutral, put your life jacket on and jump in the water.

  2. Step 2

    Some people prefer getting the boots on before jumping in, but it is often easier to get them on in the water. Put your skis on. The boots should be snug.

  3. Step 3

    Have someone throw you the rope. Hold on to the rope and place it in between your skis. Your knees should be slightly bent and your tips should be out of the water. When you're ready, tell the driver to go. Sometimes we say "hit it!!" (make sure a spotter is watching in case youf all"
