How to Escape Tranquility Lane the Nice Way in Fallout 3

You're trapped in the Fallout version of the matrix! You can escape one of two ways: appease the creator, Dr. Stanislaus Braun or attempt to hack your way out. Appeasing the evil doctor causes you to lose Karma; hacking your way out does not. Here is how to hack your way out.

Instructions

1. Hack your way out. The first thing you need to do is find the Abandoned House. There are only a few houses; just go door to door until you find it. Enter the Abandoned House when you find it.

2. Look for the junk on the bottom floor. There are several objects here which need to be inspected in the proper order to activate the escape terminal. You should see: a garden gnome, a radio, a pitcher, a cinder block and an empty soda bottle.

3. Activate the items in the following order: radio, pitcher, gnome, pitcher, cinder block, gnome, empty soda bottle. Doing so will cause a wall to disappear and reveal the doctor's emergency terminal.

4. Use the terminal. Select "Chinese Invasion". This will cause a bunch of Chinese soldiers to appear in the simulation and kill everyone. There is also some other interesting information on the terminal. Check it out to learn the history of Tranquility Lane.

5. Go back outside. Use the door that has appeared in the playground to escape. Congratulations, you have just rescued your father and escape the clutches of the evil Dr. Braun!

Tips & Warnings

• All the objects will make a chime sound if they are activated in the correct order. Activating an object out of sequence will cause it to buzz and reset the sequence.

• Feel free to talk to Dr. Braun before you leave. He is disguised as the young girl Betty.
