Christmas Card Village
Christmas Card Village

It is easy and fun for a child to create an entire Christmas village, without participation from the parents. I know, because one year my two children created an amazing Christmas village. I was so impressed, I wrote a book about it. All your children need is a little guidance, encouragement, and imagination.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Colored Pens
  • Tape
  • Glue
  • Cotton
  • 3 x 5 Cards
  1. Step 1

Give your children the materials to create a Christmas village.

  2. Step 2

Show them how to make one simple building. Start by taking a card and cutting one end into a point. Repeat with a second card.

  3. Step 3

Take four other cards, and use two for the sides of the building, and two for the roof. Tape into place, making a three dimensional house.

  4. Step 4

Show your child how they can cut a door or windows into the house.

  5. Step 5

Show them pictures of the card city included with this article, or preview the Story of the Christmas Village, link included. It will give them all the ideas they need!

  6. Step 6

    Let their imaginations take over!
