You've cleaned up after the party but notice that your coffee cups, plastic and porcelain dishware is stained. Learn how to eliminate these stains with a simple solution. The same solution also works well on porcelain dishes and even on linoleum counter tops. This is the same method the restaurants use for their coffee cups and porcelain ware.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water, Bleach, Stained cup or dish
  1. Step 1

    Collect all of the stained cups and dishes that need treatment.

  2. Step 2
    Bleach bottle

    Mix water and bleach in a solution of 10:1. This can be done in one of the dishes to be treated, in the sink or even in a bucket for the dishes to be treated in.

  3. Step 3

    Immerse stained dish or cup in water. Water does not have to be hot. Weight plastic dish with jar of water or other dish to keep it under water.

  4. Step 4

    Wait one to two hours. The stains will be gone. Some stains may take more time or a heavier dose of bleach. A few dishes may even need more than one treatment.

Tips & Warnings
  • Works wonders on coffee cups stained with coffer and even on lipstick.
  • Filling a porcelain sink with a little water and adding the bleach solution will eliminate stains from food and from dishes.
  • The bleach solution can be used on linoleum counter tops to eliminate stains.
  • If there is any doubt if using bleach on your plastic or porcelain dish is safe, contact the manufacturer first and ask.
  • Do not use bleach on silver-plate or silverware. The effect won't be pretty and the damage may be permanent.
  • Check with the manufacturer first if there is any doubt about whether the bleach solution is safe for your counter tops.
