Things You'll Need:
- A dartboard
- Darts
- 2 or more players
- A scoreboard or chalkboard
- scrap paper and pencil
-
Step 1
Place battleships. Each player writes down on on a scrap sheet of paper(don't show anyone) the position of four battleships, lengths 2, 3, 4 and 5. The numbers represent the length of each ship and also the number of hits needed to sink each ship. Each battleship should be placed in a position on the board either in a straight line or around a circle on the board. For example, a battleship could be placed at triple 20, single 20 (inner wedge) and bullseye, spanning three spaces. Likewise, a ship could be placed on triple 20, triple 1 and triple 18 to span three spaces in a circular pattern around the board.
-
Step 2
Once each player has set up his ships, begin the game. Each player takes a turn, throwing three darts at random spots on the board in an attempt to locate a ship. After each turn, the player(s) who aren't playing must shout "hit" or "miss" to tell the thrower if he has hit a ship.
-
Step 3
After hitting a ship, players must then hit adjacent spaces and try to sink the battleship by hitting every space covered by the ship. When a player hits the final space of the ship, the player whose ship it was must yell "sunk" to alert the other players.
-
Step 4
The last player with a boat afloat wins.
