Things You'll Need:
- internet access
-
Step 1
TRAVEL AGENT: Sounds pretty old school huh? An international travel agent is remarkably good at getting great travel deals especially to more remote areas -they get the deals esp.. to Asia. What you will find is that they have access to flexibility with their negotiating power and skills in adjustable scheduling, fees etc.
-
Step 2
SITES to try:
Try Mobissimo
Try Vayama
Try Farecast
Try Sidestep
Try cFares(subscription needed)
Traditional favorites like Expedia/Orbitz don't hurt! -
Step 3
Consider flying into alternate airports internationally - smaller airlines like Qatar/Emirates/Jet Airways offer many unique options like flying to a smaller city in the same country. You can then book a cheaper incountry flight sometimes. Another tip is to consider breaking up your trip into shorter flights - i.e. book one flight to Europe or the Middle East and then to Asia vs.. flying directly to Asia with a stopover.
-
Step 4
Find the fare on a site and book directly with the airlines' website-may save you some in fees. You will be surprised.
