Things You'll Need:
- Bath tub
- Fresh rosemary
- Nylon stocking
-
Step 1
Gather fresh rosemary. Rosemary plants are available at most local garden centers or home improvement stores. Once you have your own plant you will be able to utilize this remedy whenever needed. You will only need two 4-6 inch sprigs for each bath.
-
Step 2
Find an old nylon stocking to use as a "tea bag" for your rosemary. Cut it into an 18" piece. Place the sprigs of rosemary into the center of the stocking leaving a few inches to spare on each end.
-
Step 3
Tie the rosemary filled stocking around the spout of the tub where your hot water will flow through it as you fill your bath. Draw as hot of a bath as you can tolerate, this will help to "steep" the rosemary like a tea. Once your bath is filled get in and relax for at least 15 minutes. You may not see immediate results but this remedy will help to draw congestion out and alleviate many of your cold symptoms. Be prepared to have a very long and deep sleep after this bath, up to 12 hours. When you wake you will feel a great relief from your cold or flu symptoms.
