How to Host a Child's Sleepover Party
Hosting a children's sleepover doesn't have to be overwhelming or a hassle. Planning is the key to creating a comfortable place for the children and allowing them to have fun. You can have a safe and happy environment for them and help create lifetime memories by following a few short steps.

1
Help your child create a guest list. Keep the list short, as you do not want things to get out of hand. More than five children may be too much.
-
2
Send out invitations. State a specific time for when the kids may arrive. Preparing a meal for the kids when they show up is also a good idea.
-
-
3
Create a list of activities for the children. A few options include hide and seek, crafts, playing tag and dancing.
-
4
Make sure that you have all of the phone numbers of the parents in case of an emergency or any concerns you may have. Give the parents your number so they can call if they need anything.
-
5
Think about food. It's likely that the kids will be up a little later than usual, so have some late night snacks on hand, such as pretzels, fruit snacks, juice boxes and fruit. Also, be prepared to cook breakfast for the little ones when they wake up.
-
6
Set a bed time. The kids are likely to stay up after the lights go out, but that's a normal part of a sleepover. Arranging a time for everyone to be in their sleeping bags and to have the lights out is a good idea.
-
7
Arrange a pick-up time and be sure to include it on your invitations. If your pick-up time is in the afternoon, be sure to have some things to do to keep the children busy until then. Taking them to the park for a lunchtime picnic is one option.
