Start a Coin Collection
Start a Coin Collection

I’ve often seen change in the cup holder of a car, or change in a cup on the dresser and even change in a bucket to go through and roll into coin rolls. Some people just roll the change up or throw it into their child’s piggy bank while periodically noticing an older coin and decide to put it aside for the possibility that it may be valuable later.

Things You'll Need:

  • Spare Change
  1. Step 1

Actually, all that change could become part of your collection, not just the one you noticed. You would be amazed at the variations of the coins you presently have now that can be used as a collection.

  2. Step 2

Collecting your spare change is a cheap hobby because the coins you’ve dug through and found are the coins you already have. Even if you go to the bank and purchase rolls of coins to dig through, you still have the same amount of money you had before you bought the rolls, just in a different form of currency. So you’re never losing money. If anything, your collection may possibly be increasing in value, but you’re never out of what you invested.

  3. Step 3

Coinrollhunt is a great site to guide you to building a coin collection from spare change. I started reading the information provided and was amazed at the variations of the coins I use every day and never even noticed. The site made me want to start looking at every coin I get. The site provides an overview of just what coin roll hunting is and how to determine a collection. The site provides detailed information for collecting every form of US coins.

  4. Step 4

Coinrollhunt also keeps you informed of the deals and duds of the coins often sold on TV. So, you won’t be scammed. The site keeps you current on present coin values as well as helps you to understand what makes a coin valuable. There is so much information available on the site that you’ll just have to visit the site yourself to learn more.
