Paper snowflake decoration

Do you remember making paper snowflakes when you were little? These decorations are so simple a child can do them. For a refresher on how to make these pretty paper decorations, follow these steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Fold the corner of the paper to the opposite edge to start the snowflake.

  2. Step 2

Cut the rectangle off. Now you have a square, which is the start of a symmetrical snowflake decoration.

  3. Step 3

    Fold the triangle in half.

  4. Step 4

Fold the triangle in half again.

  5. Step 5

Hold the paper as though it was an ice cream cone. The closed point goes at the bottom (this will end up to be the center of the paper snowflake decoration). The open part stays at the top.

  6. Step 6

Cut the top to make the triangle look like the Star Trek symbol. Each of these points will become the outside points of the paper snowflake decoration.

  7. Step 7

Cut little bits out of the paper snowflake. Usually triangles work best, but feel free to experiment! After all, it's only paper, so it's practically free to try again.

  8. Step 8

Hang the snowflake in a window as decoration. Pretty! Happy Holidays.
