Blogging is a great opportunity for anyone looking for ways to create an extra income. It has no start up cost and allows you the freedom to write about whatever you wish. Why not start today? This article will show you how to get paid blogging from home...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a website to host your blog. You make more money the better your blog ranks, so choose a site wisely. Blogger and Wordpress are very popular blogs that rank well within the search engines and both are free!

  2. Step 2

Place contextual advertisements on your blog. These are the plain ads you see on Google and Yahoo, among other sites, that are just simple links. You can customize the look and feel of the ads to blend in with your blog. Any time a reader clicks on one of your ads, you will earn money.

  3. Step 3

Become an affiliate and promote products. There are affiliate programs for just about every topic or niche you can think of. For instance, if you have a blog about dieting and weight loss, you could promote diet patches. Or if you have a blog about baseball, you could promote memberships to fantasy baseball websites. You aren't limited to physical products either. There is plenty of downloadable content that sells very well online. The possibilities are endless!

  4. Step 4

Write sponsored blog posts. Sign up with sites like Pay Per Post and Review Me to write short advertisements for other websites or companies. The pay varies a lot here, but there is money to be made and it's a quick way to start seeing a profit on your blog immediately.

  5. Step 5

Write short articles that are relevant to the topic of your blog and direct readers to it via a link or two. This is a great way to set up additional streams of income on sites like eHow, Squidoo and Hubpages, plus your blog will receive a boost of traffic in the process. It's a win-win situation.

  6. Step 6

Once you've got some experience under your belt, try branching out and writing for other blogs. Sites like Today.com and Families.com often have paid blogging opportunities posted on their websites. You can also check Problogger for available blogging jobs online.
