Before you go out take a multi-vitamin and eat some food. Also, carry one or even two more with you to take later at about 2-3 hour intervals. This is a key step to get rid of hangover quickly.

While drinking alternate a glass of water with every other alcoholic drink. Alcohol is a diuretic which simply means it reduces your bodies ability to retain water. This is why you need to go to the bathroom so often. Not going, or 'holding it' has no effect as the water is still leaving your tissues and going into your bladder. To overcome this you need to stay hydrated. And no, you will not have to go more often, you will, however, get rid of hangover much quicker if you stay hydrated.

After about 2 or 3 hours drinking take another multi-vitamin. Believe me, you will be happy you did as you will cure a hangover much quicker.

4
Before you go to sleep drink some more water, or, even better, a drink with added electrolytes such as gatorade. This will help get rid of hangover much quicker.

5
Get a good nights sleep. And when you get up drink lots of water and take a multi-vitamin. The key to recovering quickly from a hangover is replenishing fluids and keeping your body well supplied with vitamins and nutrients. Follow these steps and I guarantee you hangover recovery will be much, much easier.

Eat something the moment you get up no matter what, even a cracker. Alcohol causes changes in your digestive patterns since normally there is a constant flow of food into waste products. Dehydration in the intestines causes this process to stop, or even reverse causing nausea. So drink lots of water and eat something as soon as possible.

Tips & Warnings
Buy some multi-vitamins and gatorade before you go out drinking and have them ready. These two items will greatly help get rid of hangover.
It's popular to take a painkiller when you wake up. DO NOT take anything with ibuprofen in it. Mixing ibuprofen and alcohol can cause bleeding stomach, inflammation, or even permanent ulceration.
Alcohol effects can last up to 24 hours after drinking so DO NOT drink and drive the next morning.

EXCELLENT advice! Water always helps me, but I haven't tried the multivitamins. It makes sense. I'll definitely be taking some multivitamins the next time I plan on drinking excessively. :) 5*, thanks!
