Instructions

While servicing your salon client, be sure to WOW them with first class customer service. Using reflective listening to ensure you fully understand the clients wants and their expectations.

    • 2

After completing all services on each client tell them how soon you would need to see them again to keep the service they just recieved 'fresh'. Example: Ms.Brown, in order to keep your hair color looking fresh and natural, I will need to see you again in six weeks.

Next, at this point, don't stop talking. If you do, your client will scan their memory too quick and will have a chance to say 'I will call you and let you know'. Don't stop! Keep going. Example: Ms.Brown, in order to keep your hair color looking fresh and natural, I will need to see you again in six weeks will the beginning of the week or the end of the week be good for you? Now, at this point hand your client a calendar and wait for his/her reply as to what part of the week.

So your customer chose the end of the week. Now it's time for you to get back into action again by asking 'do you prefer a morning or afternoon appointment? Let the client answer. Let's say your client chose the morning, now you say this, 'okay, I have a 9am and a 11am which do you choose?

This is a sure fire way to rebook clients. If you're letting your clients leave the salon without rebooking, there is no way that you can get a clear picture of earnings ahead of time. Remember, to build a clientel and to 'up' your sales tickets you must(once the client is in your chair)upsell, retail and rebook.
Another great way to get clients in your chair is to have an online appointment book. Clients can book 24/7. Just think, booking clients in your sleep. This is the method I use and all clients agree this is very convenient. They have the option of setting up 'standing' appointments so they won't have to come back and do it again. It's great! Tips & Warnings

  • Get in the habit NOW

  • Don't leave rebooking questions 'open ended', clients will 'hem and haw' and won't rebook at this point.
