Finding time to exercise can be a fitness disaster when leading a busy lifestyle. Work and family commitments can make fitting in an exercise program seem impossible. But you can balance your work and family commitments with a workout program (without adding an extra hour to each day). All that's needed is a little creativity with your exercises. Keep reading to learn how to find time to work out-the sneaky way!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

GIVE FITNESS THE SQUEEZE: Sneak in a quick workout with isometric exercising. Do isometric exercises while waiting in the checkout line, stuck in traffic, or watching TV. Isometric exercising can be done anywhere, anytime without anyone ever having to know you're working out. All you need to do is squeeze the muscle you want to strengthen and hold for a few seconds. Release the hold and relax a second or two before dong the next repetition. It's that easy! Isometric exercising is especially great for working out glutes and abs.

  2. Step 2

GET JIGGY WITH EXERCISE: Will Smith's "Getting' Jiggy Wit It" isn't just good on the dance floor; it's a good way to get your heart rate up on any floor. Turn on your radio, turn up the volume, and dance to your favorite energizing music while you do housework. Folding laundry and drying dishes will never be the same boring chores again!

  3. Step 3

WORK UP A SWEAT IN THE KITCHEN: Cooking is a great way to sneak in exercise. Do some exercising in-between all that stirring and simmering. Do jogging in place, leg lifts, balance exercises-whatever gets your heart rate up. You can even stash a pair of dumbbells nearby to get in a quick weight lifting workout. Finding time to work out doesn't have to mean disrupting your normal routine.

  4. Step 4

TAKE A BREAK: A bathroom break, that is. If your family is constantly interrupting your fitness program, then (hopefully!) they won't bother you in the bathroom. Shut the door and do a few quick sets of lunges, calf raises, wall pushups, or squats. And no one will ever be the wiser. Now that you've learned how to find time to work out (the sneaky way), it's time to put these ideas into action. Happy exercising!
