Things You'll Need:
- Bible verse
- Ball (preferably one that isn't hard)
-
Step 1
2 Adults Help! This game works best with 2 adults to play. One person can pull it off by using a student as an assistant or by not playing themselves.
-
Step 2
Don't get bored inside!Have everyone gather in a circle outside or in a large room. It can be as big or small of a circle as you want, but at least needs to be close enough that the kids can throw the ball to each other.
-
Step 3
Read the verseStart off by having one adult with the Bible read the verse to the children.
-
Step 4
2nd adult tosses ball! Then have the second adult hold the ball and say the first word of the verse. The adult should then toss the ball to one of the kids.
-
Step 5
Child tosses ball! The child who receives the ball should catch it, say the next word in the verse and then toss the ball to another person.
-
Step 6
Say each word of the verse without dropping the ballTry to make it through the entire verse without letting the ball touch the ground. If it does... start over!
-
Step 7
1st adult helps children rememberThe 1st adult with the Bible should facilitate the game. Make sure the children are saying the correct words and help them remember when they don't.
-
Step 8
2nd adult has to play and remember! The 2nd adult should make sure everyone is included in the game by noting who hasn't received the ball in awhile and tossing the ball to that person when they receive it. This person must also remember the verse because he/she will have to say the words along with the kids!!!
-
Step 9
Play the game several times until the kids can get through the entire thing without forgetting words or needing help.
